Christian Boltanski

French sculptor, painter, and installation artist, best known for his work using old and found photographs. Boltanski uses the detritus of everyday life - wrapping paper, biscuit tins, clothes, yearbook photos - to create pieces that focus on death, childhood, loss, and memory.
